Seizures
I was playing Gears of War tonight while my video was rendering. Picture it:
I was near the end of the game, on the train, having just beaten the berserker by uncoupling the cars. At this point in the game, you have to climb onto a train car where two turrets are mounted and blast away at Nemecyst riders who fly at you.
Tonight, I almost blacked out.
I was on the left-side turret, blasting at the dudes on the left side of the car, when I turned the gun and started shooting down fellas coming up from the right. While watching the guys approach, the flashing caused by the turret’s gunfire reflecting off of the central column made me start feeling weird in my head. It felt like what the seizure-inducing Pokemon video had to feel like in Japan.
Once I backed up or turned away I felt better and could continue. I tried it twice, just to make sure and both times, it made me feel a bit crazy. I can’t explain it, but I felt like:
If you have Gears of War, give it a try! And tell me if it works for you too. I want to make sure I am not crazy before I contact EPIC and tell them about it.
- I’d been chewing on tin foil
- Part of my brain had come loose
- That feeling you get when your eye twitches by itself
- The feeling associated with parts of your body falling asleep
- Staring into a strobe light
Um, no thanks Mathew! Sounds like fun though.
